// engineering journey

From first principles, one milestone at a time.

I didn't start with a plan — I started with curiosity, then made a deliberate choice to learn the fundamentals. This is the path from there: web development, open source, cloud, hackathons, and now production infrastructure.

  1. Apr 2026

    Startup Internship

Joined a startup internship and got my first exposure to production-grade infrastructure — working on authentication systems, backend development, and DevOps workflows.

    • FluxCD
    • Kubernetes
  2. Mar 2026National Win

    National-Level Recognition

Won a national-level hackathon at Tech-Symposium 2K26. A sprint that sharpened my confidence in product thinking, teamwork, and rapid problem-solving.

  3. First AWS Production Deployment

Spent a month on AWS fundamentals, deployed ML workloads on EC2, and hosted a full-stack app on AWS for the first time — then capped the month by winning an international hackathon at PICT Pune.

    • ML deployment
    • Full-stack on AWS
  4. Nov 2025

    Entering the AI Space

Started exploring Generative AI and building AI-first applications around LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation — and decided to specialize in backend engineering.

    • RAG
    • AI-assisted workflows
  5. Open-Source Milestone

Contributed to multiple open-source projects during Hacktoberfest, merging 6+ pull requests and earning the Super Contributor badge — my first real collaboration with maintainers.

    • 6+ merged PRs
    • Super Contributor
    • Maintainer collaboration
  6. May 2025

    Entering Cloud Computing

Created my first AWS account and received credits. Started exploring cloud services and building a foundation to experiment on later.

  7. Jan 2025

    Discovering the Fundamentals

Realized that learning frameworks alone wouldn't make me a strong engineer. Shifted my focus toward the fundamentals — a decision that changed how I approach software.

    First Steps Into Web Development

Built my first website with HTML and CSS and started exploring web development. My introduction to building products for the web.
